Beautiful Feet
Pastor Don Snow

Romans 10:15
How shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

We can’t make anybody believe, but we can give them the opportunity by sharing with them the Gospel, and in doing that, we have ‘Beautiful Feet’.  Wherever these feet take us to share the Gospel, they are still beautiful because the lead us in the will of God.

The question is, “Am I doing that?” If we are taking the Gospel, we have beautiful feet, but if we don’t do that, we have ugly feet. A preacher friend always removes his shoes when he preaches. It is a reminder to him that he is on holy ground, that he is handling the Word of God. Wherever we go and take the Gospel is holy ground.

It is interesting in the Bible as to how feet apply, it refers to a carrier. There are a lot of references and analogies in the Bible that refer to the feet and those that run as carriers. But there isn’t a better carrier than the messenger of Christ. We are carrying the greatest news to a lost and dying world! Are we running with the Gospel?

In II Samuel 18:21, Cushi had a message to carry to the king, and he had a long way to go. But he took off running lickety-split. The watchman in the tower identified who he was by the way he ran.  Do people recognize our ‘beautiful feet’? Do they see someone who will always be carrying the message of salvation with them?

Isa 3:8, Isa 21:9, Prov 1:16 are all passages where the carriers were carrying evil messages. But we are carriers of the ‘Good News’. The message of the great accomplishment of Christ upon the Cross for all of mankind. The human race has a Savior! What great, glorious, and wonderful news! We must herald the news to all with beautiful feet.

Do you have beautiful feet? Are your sharing the Gospel everywhere you go?
